A Full Load Range ZVS Isolated Three-Level DC/DC Converter with Active Commutation Auxiliary Circuit Suitable for Electric Vehicle Charging Application

The isolated three-level DC/DC converter (ITLDC) can be used to charge electric vehicles. During the constant current charging stage, ITLDC designed realize nature zero voltage switching (ZVS). However, during is small; thus, ZVS cannot realized. This paper presents an active commutation auxiliary circuit (ACAC) for full load range ZVS. With proposed ACACs, all main switches achieve zero-voltage turn-on and quasi turn-off, turn-off; efficiency will high. currents generated by ACACs are controllable. realizes controlled zero; do not result in high stress or bring additional losses, decreases with time too small Thus, work within a suitable value whole process; structure operating principle of introduced performance TLDC experimentally verified on 1.5 kW prototype converter.
